Dear Citizens of Nampa,
My name is Melissa Sue Robinson and I am hereby announcing my intentions to run for Mayor of Nampa, ID. in the November 2009 general election and win. I am running because I'm progressive and feel that Nampa's a city that needs progressive people in city government. With many years of political and business experience, my desire is to give back to society by bringing that experience to your city government. I'm a 58 years old tele-communications worker, and former owner of Design Masters Construction Co, Inc. (a 25 employee small business formerly based in Michigan) in which I was President for 10 years. At age 41 I pursued my Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from Michigan State University and acheived that with a high GPA within 3.5 years by taking 4-5 classes per semester. This major was interdiciplinary i.e. english, history, psychology, and religion. I then attended graduate school of management at Aquinas College (Grand Rapids, MI.) In 2006 I was instrumental in getting an anti-discrimination ordinance passed in Lansing, MI. with the aid of many people. Nampa is growing and it's demographics are becoming very diverse. I am very well rounded and can hit the ground running. Most of all with my successful business experience, I can help bring new employers to our city, as I know what employers want and how they think. I can acheive my goals with the aid of talented people that I would bring on board. I would bring on board "The Best of The Best" in all crucial management areas such as finance, planning, human services, and human resources. This does not mean that I would go on a major replacement campaign when elected. If a manager when evaluated has shown that they are "the best of the best for Nampa" they would remain. Most of all I believe in Nampa and it's Citizens. What you think and want matters to me, therefore Nampa government would be an "open door government" with citizen input being at the forefront. Council meetings would be for everyone that cares about Nampa

Oh good, another of the great progressives (liberals), they've done so much for the country. Why leave Michigan, the success rate established by "Progressives" there is so good. And a Open Door policy, is that Obama speak for open government. Oh Hope, it sure has worked well for all of us so far. Can you spell Chicago politics?
