The Midwest Literary Walk is a day-long literary event where award-winning authors read their works at various locations up and down Main Street in Downtown Chelsea. Our line-up of authors and poets include Michigan Notable Book Award winners and National Book Award nominees.
The complete line-up includes:
12 pm, Library: Laura Kasischke (2011 Michigan Notable Book Award winner for her historical novella, Eden Springs) and Keith Taylor
1 pm, River Gallery: Jeff Kass and Scott Beal
2 pm, Zou Zou’s: lunch break with live music from The Shelter Dogs
3 pm, Just Imagine Bookstore: Bonnie Jo Campbell (2010 National Book Award nominee for her short story collection, American Salvage) and Zilka Joseph
4 pm, Open Mic at the bookstore
5 pm, River Gallery: ML Liebler and Bonnie Rose Marcus.
The last reading will be followed by a dance party with the rock band October Babies.
