Milk Mustache Tour Is Coming to Albuquerque! March 20, 2010

DescriptionA recent survey found that most Americans are not regularly sitting down for dinner – and when they are, the nutrient value of the meal is often lacking, especially when it comes to what’s in their glass. To encourage moms to set the table with milk to help build a strong family, the national "got milk?®" Milk Mustache Mobile Tour is traveling coast-to-coast to celebrate those special moments that families share around the dinner table.

From March 20-22nd, the 2010 Milk Mustache Mobile ”Milk the Moment” Tour will be cruising through Albuquerque hosting free events to encourage residents to “Milk the Moment” with their families, serve milk at dinnertime, and educate Americans on the array of benefits and nutrients milk has to offer.

ON-SITE ACTIVITES:
At events, Albuquerque residents can:
•Pose for a celebrity-inspired Milk Mustache Photo
•Sample lowfat and fat free milk from Borden Milk, Oak Farms Dairy, Nestle, Schepps Dairy, and yogurt from Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Stores
•Play a fun, dinner-themed football toss activity for kids
•Speak with local registered dietitian about milk’s array of benefits and the unique attributes of being a milk drinker

Saturday, March 20 – Albuquerque Rio Grande Zoo, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Sunday, March 21 – Cottonwood Mall, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 2 - 4 p.m.
Monday, March 22 - Albuquerque Aquarium, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
