\ AGENDA \\\\\\\
+ MIXED SIGNALS is pleased to announce a massive follow up to our first party, and it promises to be hotter than the DC summer. Continuing on our mission to bring all things techno to the capital city, we have constructed a proper line-up that features some of the best in deep house, tech-house, bangin' techno, and minimal. Captivating live, mixed video projections and a truly ingenious infrared art installation using live video input from dance floor will be on exhibit. In addition, a late night food menu will be available on the patio, underneath the stars. Come and join us for an extended night of visual art, forward-thinking music, and positive vibes.

\ ARTISTS BRIEFINGS \\\\\\\
+ BEN WU is making the journey from his current hometown of San Diego all the way to Washington, DC to present what he calls his 'stickyminimaltechacidphunk' brand of beats. DJing for 8 years, Ben has gained early recognition as the winner of Ann Arbor, Michigan's "Solar" spin-off in 1998, and as a resident at Detroit's "Science Club" in 2002. Since then, he has rocked parties such as Ann Arbor's "Necto" as well as Toronto's "World Electronic Music Festival." Hailed by URB magazine, this selector is not one to miss.
+ DYLAN DRAZEN is one of the most well-traveled and globally respected techno DJ/producers in the US. His mastery on 3 decks, 2 CD players, a sampler, and FX has earned him the Spanish nickname 'un máquina' because of the way he manipulates clusters of knobs, buttons, and faders during his sets. Within one session, Dylan will show his techno roots and seamlessly shift genres while exploring hard, tribal, deep, floating, pushing, and swirling sounds. Witness for yourself this true hero of the underground.
+ RYAN CROSSON took the next logical step to DJing by producing his own music in the Fall of 2003. By expressing a tireless work ethic in the studio, Ryan signed music to Cologne based label, Trapez Limited, just one year after he began writing. Talented and driven, this young Detroit native is making a global impact with his redefining approach to techno music. Ryan will demonstrate with two loaded-down laptops why his original productions have been getting caned regularly by DJ extraordinaire and M_nus label-mate, Richie Hawtin.
+ METAPHREAQ will present his unique style of mixed video projection artistry. His adept skills at combining moving images of the rhythms of urban landscapes and lighthearted vintage video clips sliced with contrasting geometric shapes have earned him a seat on the always avante-garde '88' music crew. Always insistent on keeping things fresh and different, he is certain to take us on an unexpected journey through the depths of his virtual space.
+ PETER KIRN is a New York-based composer and media artist who works with cameras and custom computer software to create reactive, interactive motion-controlled animations, lit in infrared. Bodies and dance drive live 3d and 2d animations in sparkles, patterns, and sketched, imagined renderings of how the computer sees. Peter is a contributor to Macworld, Keyboard, and Computer Music, the author of the book Real World Digital Audio, and the editor of the Create Digital Motion and Create Digital Music blog/zines. He's currently teaching music and visual technology at Brooklyn College and the 3rd Ward gallery. On this night, he will challenge the confines of creating art through technology.
