MOLDING HEARTS, HANDS & MINDS January 8, 2009

Fourth-grade students from Brilliant Elementary School will be participating in the Northwest Alabama Arts Council's "Molding Hearts, Hands & Minds" program where they will be tutored by Smithsonian potter Jerry Brown on the art of pottery making. Each student will make his/her own piece of pottery.

The students' pieces of pottery will be on display at the Jerry Brown Arts Festival, March 7 and 8, 2009, in Hamilton, Alabama.

The top five participants will be selected and receive scholarships from the arts council to attend the Bevill State Community College-Hamilton Campus Art Camp the first week of June.
