'Montana' is a socially conscious tragedy about a woman, Susan, haunted by the memories of her past, who flees the streets of Chicago for the fields of Montana. Trapped by her insecurities, she forms a bond with a local neighbor, Erma, who empathetically starts to helps her overcome her problems and establish clarity. Their relationship is ultimately tested when a poet, Brett, from Susan's past comes to Montana raising doubts about what is truly right for her. He tries to convince her to receive the proper treatment, which may or may not include a disappointed Erma. This dramatic piece never fails to question the methods practiced to revive the human spirit from the clutches of great tragedy.
