Monty Python's Terry Jones will be presenting “Medieval Lives” on Friday, October 5, at 7 PM, in Hoversten Chapel. Tickets are $20.
Jones is not only famous for Monty Python, but is also quite a renowned medievalist. His scholarly books include "Chaucer’s Knight" and "Who Murdered Chaucer?" He frequently lectures on the late fourteenth century at universities in Europe and the United States. “Medieval Lives” is Jones’s attempt to combat the image of the Middle Ages as a time of ignorance, misery, and superstition. As you might imagine from Jones, the presentation will be both provocative and entertaining.
