Moths at Night August 14, 2009

Moths are like fish. You never know what's out there until you start probing the night and catching them. And then, what amazing variety and subtle beauty you'll find. Moths far outnumber butterlfies in number of species and population. By drawing them to our blacklight and baits, we'll learn to recognize common groups and see how they differ from their flashier cousins. We'll also examine their trememdous ecological value and have some fun role playing their nocturnal lifestyle.
