Where can you go for an afternoon of food and fun with your neighbors? The Mt. Airy Village Fair! The fourth Mt. Airy Village Fair will take place on Sunday September 26th from noon-4pm at the intersection of Greene Street and Carpenter Lane. Sponsored entirely by local businesses, the Village Fair celebrates the culture of this buzzing Philadelphia neighborhood. Thrilling entertainment will be provided on two stages. Behold ...your neighbors' musical talents and adorable pets! A full roster of local bands will provide music delights throughout the day. The traffic-stopping pet parade will give you a chance to show off your pets (and your prowess at costuming them!) Local organizations, community members and businesses will provide games and activities on two blocks of Carpenter Lane. Unplug and enjoy old-school carnival games, petting zoo, and lemon sticks. Prove you can eat break the 4 minute 21 second record for eating a blueberry pie or show how slow you can go in our slow eating contest featuring Chilly Philly ice cream. Sample foods at the High Point Cafe and at Weavers Way Co-op. Take something or leave something at our free-for-all--a giant free yard sale event. At the end of the day you can screen print your own t-shirt as a souvenir of all the fun you had! Let the Mt. Airy Village Fair tickle your fancy!
