Volunteers are ordinary people with extraordinary love and concern for others, contributing their time, talent and energy at an extraordinary time of life. We would be delighted that you are willing to share some of your valuable time, energy and knowledge with us. Your involvement with our organization will help us keep the past alive and accessible to everyone interested in exploring it, yourself included.
Description:
Pick elders up, bring them to a doctors appointment or one of our celebrations, bring them home again with our delicious cooked meals and our FREE flowers. Our low-income isolated elders live through out Boston.
On-call emergency services
Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly!. has committed itself to enriching the lives of the elderly and their volunteers by fostering friendships that celebrate life. Such friendships are linked together by shared laughter, time-honored stories, and cherished dreams that teach us about ourselves.
Volunteers and staff provide valuable and essential social support while they assist elders with the tasks of daily living – escorting them to medical and other appointments, shopping, banking, getting prescriptions filled, and running errands. Volunteers also deliver food packages from the Emergency Food Pantry.
Simply, we are looking for people who are able to escort a senior citizen to an appointment or activity. We can always find a time match and have a tremendous group of elders.
