Mus Tournament- Mus Txapelketa November 27, 2010

We are glad to invite you to the Mus Tournament that we have organized for the 27th November at 2 p.m. at the Oxford House. We are expecting an amazing warm atmosphere, so come along to hide from the chilly autumn! Food and drinks will be available; an the type of game will be relanpago with four kings.

Sounds appealing? Then, go find a friend to play Mus with, and sign up for the tournament before 25th November, it´s only 10 pounds per pair!!

Playing Mus is really very simple and, although it can take a lot to become a master, the mechanics of this very popular Basque card game can be learned in a few minutes, and mastered as you play. We will make sure we explain the ins an outs of the game to people who want to play this tournament but never played before. There is always a first time, and we shouldn't underestimate the beginner's luck!!!

Also, if you would like to play this Txapelketa but do not have a partner to play with, send us a message and we will try to find someone in the same situation as you. We have had some people asking about this already, so don't let that put you off!

We will also make sure we establish the rules we will be following in the minutes before we begin.

- We found this guide on the net, from the Ontario Basque Club, and it pretty much covers most of the aspects of the game, as well as many rules we will be following, so you can read them through if you want, in order to familiarise yourself with them. We will be playing the 4 Kings and 4 Aces version.
