NATIVITAS: A Vox Christmas December 5, 2010

Vox Musica, the acclaimed, 12-woman vocal ensemble, presents the second concert project of their fifth season on December 4th and 5th with NATIVITAS: A Vox Christmas. — — — From the simplicity of a Gregorian chant to the complexity of a Renaissance motet, Vox Musica celebrates the mystery and wonder of Christmas with a dynamic program of Medieval and Renaissance works juxtaposed with contemporary carols. NATIVITAS features a collection of unpublished motets, one by Spanish/Renaissance composer, Alonso De Tejeda, stunning music by Hildegard von Bingen, and a unique collection of fresh arrangements of the beloved advent carol, Es ist ein Ros entsprungen.
