Want to take better nature photographs? Learn the basics and more from award-winning photographer Les Voohris. Begin with a review of camera basics including f-stops and shutter speed then learn about advanced techniques such as Hyperfocal distance and High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging. Hyperfocal distance is the closest distance at which your camera's lens can be focused while keeping the background reasonably sharp. HDR imaging utilizes bracketed exposures of a scene to create an image that captures more gradations of light and dark than is possible from a single exposure. Understanding both of these concepts will greatly enhance your nature photography.

As he teaches, Voorhis will present some of his own images and share what he's learned about being a professional nature photographer. Sponsored by Expodisc and F-11, this FREE class meets March 21st from 1 to 4 PM. Because class size is limited, pre-registration is required. Reserve your space now to learn what it takes to become a professional nature photographer.Learn about this and other F-11 workshops when you stop by the store at 16 East Main in historic downtown Bozeman, visit www.f11photo.com or call 406-586-3281.
