Nevada County Concert Band Winter Concert December 6, 2009

The 50-piece Nevada County Concert Band presents a free Winter Concert, opening with the brass fanfare "Omnium Gatherum." Musicians perform holiday favorites including "Do You Hear What I Hear?" plus "Jupiter" from Holst's "The Planets" suite and "A Grand Grand Overture" by Malcolm Arnold, featuring the Hoover Quartet playing four vacuum cleaners.

Small groups from within the band will also perform, including a flute duet and a clarinet choir. This is a family-friendly event, with free snacks at intermission. Donations accepted.
