Be part of our annual effort to make our city's schools a more welcoming environment for children to learn and grow on New York Cares Day Fall.

Get ready to paint classrooms, create bright murals, plant school gardens, organize book rooms and libraries, and design outdoor play spaces where more than 1 million of the youngest New Yorkers go nearly every day. By the end of New York Cares Day Fall, 90 school sites in need will be transformed.

This year we have a special focus on getting the school community involved, bringing neighbors together to ensure that students' and their environment are cared for.

New York Cares Day Fall is also a fundraiser for New York Cares. With your help, we hope to raise funds to support our year-round volunteer program which provide services to 400,000 New Yorkers in need.
