Next, University Dancers' Annual Spring Concert February 26, 2011

The University Dancers embark on a new exploration through movement and dance in their 26th annual dance concert, Next. Under founder and former artistic director, Myra Daleng, the company grew to become one of the Mid-Atlantic region's strongest university dance companies. Under the artistic direction of Anne Van Gelder, University Dancers will present a powerful new work created by international choreographer and newly appointed artistic director of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Robert Battle, as well as works by Sean Curran and former William Forsythe/Ballet Frankfurt dancer Francesca Harper. The concert will also feature live music and works choreographed by local guests and students.

Richmond audiences are drawn to University Dancers' diverse programming, and this season will not disappoint.
