North Downs MTB ride - Bookham to Newlands Corner January 25, 2009
Bookham, England
This is our regular ride to Newlands via Ranmore and down to the Abinger Roughs via some gnarly bits. Then on to Newlands via the back of Shere.
Quite hard work, about 25 miles (we return via the North Downs Way) with a good variety of riding.
Note, this is not an organised ride. We're just mountain bikers going roughly in the same direction at roughly the same time!
We give an extra 10 mins for laggards so aim to start by 8:40am.

I'm road riding on Saturday too; not sure I'll make Sunday, depends on my mileage I suppose. And how wet Sunday is!

I was going to use this as the Alpine's first ride but I don't want my new baby to get trashed so i'll be trying to get up that bitch of a hill from Albury to Newlands on the singlespeed. Um, can't wait.
[update Friday 23rd Jan]: Now I've found my finger is actually broken so I'm just heading out on the road (yuk) on Saturday.
Sorry Matt and still plan to lead the ride from Gomshall next week
