"Nuts for a Cure" RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM HOLDS FUN RUN/WALK April 4, 2009

They’re Nuts for a Cure, and they’re one of many Relay for Life teams raising money to fight cancer.

The Nuts for a Cure Relay team will hold it’s 5th Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk April 4 in historic Oakland . A One Mile Fun Run/Walk and Auction will also take place.

The event starts at Oakland High School and winds through Oakland ’s historic Victorian homes and over rolling hills. Cancer survivors are honored by putting their names on the participant’s numbers. Furthermore, those who lost their battle with cancer are also remembered and recognized.

Registration forms are available at Bart’s Market in Oakland , Anytime Fitness in Sutherlin, and at Women’s Express Gym on Stewart Parkway in Roseburg . Early registration before March 19th is only $18 that includes a commemorative T-shirt or $12 without a T-shirt.
