Old Mastic Bird Walk November 20, 2011

Bring binoculars on a 2-mile walk through the woods, fields, and wetlands of the property. A good variety of birds will be seen as we walk the varied habitats. It's peak migration time for thousands of birds heading north or south. Ticks are present throughout the park. To protect yourself against ticks, wear light colored clothing, use a repellent, stay on the mowed trails and paths and avoid walking in the shrubs and tall grass.
