National Geographic Photographer Sam Abell returns to Lexington to share stories and photographs of his travels on the route of the Voyage of Discovery with Stephen E. Ambrose, whose book Undaunted Courage is the most widely read Lewis & Clark book of this century. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, where he edited the prize-winning 1965 Kentuckian yearbook, Sam has worked for the National Geographic since 1970 illustrating over 20 feature articles and a number of books including one on Shakertown.
