Paducah Aikido Association- Edged weapons workshop January 26, 2012

Paducah Aikido Association offers a monthly workshop open to police and correctional officers only. The workshops teach skills officers need to protect themselves if attacked.

This months workshop will cover edged weapons. Techniques will include defense against knife attacks in the first hour and in the second hour we will practice useing the knife as an offensive weapon. Most officers don't think there is a need for offensive skills, but if a suspect grabs your weapon in the holster, a tactical knife could be the only thing that keeps you alive.
