Parallel Lives 2 January 30, 2009

A citywide collaboration between the National Galleries Scotland, OOTB, North Edinburgh Arts and WHALE arts organisations. Parallel Lives 2 is an outreach initiative from the National Galleries of Scotland which asked people in Leith to investigate and update Marcel Broodthaers' surreal Visual Tower (1966). Working in and around the OOTB Drill Hall artist Gavin Lockhart and people from Leith created the Tower of Leith (2008) from 100 MP4 players showing videos produced by members of the community. The exhibition also features work from the projects at WHALE and North Edinburgh Arts.
