The ParenTeen Seminar is coming to the Whitefish Bay High School Auditorium on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 6 p.m. The event, sponsored by Bay United and Milwaukee North Shore Young Life, will focus on the topic of raising teenagers and how to connect with them in the challenges they face. The speaker for the evening, Dr. Chap Clark, aims to ultimately bridge the gap between teens and their parents. He offers insights from his latest research to understand what teenagers need in our highly fragmented cultural climate. As Dr. Clark presents, he will tailor his message to the North Shore community and the most pressing issues that parents in the area face. Audiences of all ages and backgrounds are receptive to Dr. Clark’s message due to his leadership background and training, authentic style and use of humor. ParenTeen Seminars are guaranteed to give parents a window into the teenage journey. Adults nationwide have developed more authentic and effective parenting strategies by applying Dr. Clark’s message to their relationships with their teens. Dr. Clark earned a Bachelor of Arts from University of California San Diego and a PhD from the University of Denver. He has written seventeen books that all explore interpersonal relationships, primarily that between parents and teenagers.
