Paw Spa for the Ankeny Dog Park August 29, 2009

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests are invited to bring their dogs to the Bark Zone at 124 SE Shurfine Drive in Ankeny for pampering and fun. Admission is $5 with select services available for additional fees:

* Pawsitively Pampered will provide complimentary primping and nail polish; nail trimming is $5.
* CLIX Photography Studio will offer doggie "glamour shots" for $5.
* Chair massages by Carol Dunbar, LMT, of Essential Massage, and Healing Touch for Animals® hands-on energy work for dogs by Ronda Colvin will both be available on a donation basis.
* Canine Craze Performance Center will coordinate special activities - including a "peanut butter facial" contest.
* Creative Treasures will offer personalized paw prints for $5.
* Brown Dog Bakery will have doggie treats for sale.
