An interesting look at what has been successful,
where we are struggling and an opportunity to ask questions.

Speaker: Mark Shinn
Dr. Shinn has a BA in Psychology, Gustavus Adolphus College, which he received in 1974, and also a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (School Psychology) from the University of Minnesota, 1981. Dr. Shinn’s professional life has included conducting many pre-service and in-service training of school psychologists, special educators, and teachers, mainly at the University of Oregon (1984-2003) and presently at the National Louis University. He has consulted for many school districts and state departments of education since 1980 in the area of Problem-Solving model implementation, scientifically based progress monitoring, CBM, and most recently, RTI. He has also consulted in more than 30 states and hundreds of school districts nationally and worked with state departments of education in OR, MN, IL, CO, CA, and ID. He has also done professional writing, including 2 edited books on CBM and 2 versions of an Interventions book for NASP with Hill Walker and Gary Stoner.
