The Yuletide holidays are once again upon us and the Penobscot Bay Singers shall ring in the season with a program featuring "Carol of the Bells" and assorted carols from the 14th Century to the present. The Singers are honored to have a guest cellist, Shannon Hollister, join the group with a contemporary version of "Christmas is Coming"arranged by Robert De Cormier. The Penobscot Bay Singers are directed by Richard Dostie and accompanied by Linnea Johnson.

The concerts this year are early in the season beginning with November 30, 7:30 PM at the Searsport Congregational Church. December 1, 7:30 PM at the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church) on 297 Belmont Avenue, Belfast. It should be noted that 297 Belmont Avenue (Route 3 toward Augusta) is 2.74 miles from the Route1/Route 3 interchange, a quick 4 minute drive, has easy parking and is handicap accessible. December 2, 3:00 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Belfast.

This year the Penobscot Bay Singers are partnering with the Soap Closet. a Belfast-based charitable organization. The Soap Closet distributes soap and hygiene products not available through the food stamp program. Each individual who is registered at the Food Pantry at the Methodist Church may choose three items. The products carried are laundry soap, dish soap, dental supplies, shampoo, deodorant, toilet tissue and body soap. Please help the Penobscot Bay Singers support this organization by donating an item from the above list at the door of the concert.
