The ABC’s of Ballet will be presented by Artistic Director Alexandra Zaharias as dancers perform basic ballet vocabulary. Each step is explained so the audience gains a better understanding of what is required to be a dancer, providing a marvelous introduction to the world of ballet for budding balletomanes.

Next, the audience will enjoy Peter and The Wolf. This narrated folk tale by Sergey Prokofiev tells a tale of a brave young boy who ventures out into the meadow. He is met by his friends: a bird (flute), a duck (oboe), and a cat (clarinet). With the animals, the boy, and a group of hunters out in the meadow, just imagine the excitement when the excitement when the big, gray wolf suddenly appears!

With its adventurous story, charming music, theatrical dance, and whimsical costumes, Peter and the Wolf is a favorite among audiences of all ages. After the performance, children will have the opportunity to meet and have their pictures taken with members of the cast!
