Pura Vida Worldly Art, in the historical Plaza-Midwood District of Charlotte, NC, is featuring the works of three local artists in its photography exhibit entitled, “A Glimpse of Latin America.” This exhibit features vignettes from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Guatemala, and will be on view through March, 2007.

Imagery includes colorful open door markets in Guatemala, religious scenery from Mexico, and intimate portrayals of every day life in the Dominican Republic. The local artists participating in this event are Stephanie Chesson, Glenn Nash, and Catalina Kulczar.


Pura Vida Worldly Art is located on 1521 Central Avenue. In addition to its exhibit, Pura Vida Worldly Art offers home decor items, artwear, folk art, and spiritual art. The gallery's hours are 10-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 12-5p.m. on Sundays. Admission is free and open to the public.
