Chris Yushta, Black Hills State University mass communication student from Lemmon, and recent BHSU graduate Adam Roosa, present an exhibition of photography at the Apex Gallery located on the campus of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City. Their photography will be on display until Oct. 29. A reception and artist’s talk will be held in the gallery Oct. 22 from 5-7 p.m.

The exhibition, Post Processing, will showcase several different post processing photography techniques used by both artists. Some of the processes include: high dynamic range photography (HDR), panoramas, and infrared imaging. Post processing is an editing technique done after the original image is taken. The process can range from very mild to complete photo illustrations.

Yushta and Roosa, who both transferred to BHSU from SDSM&T, were introduced to modern and contemporary art while taking the class from Deborah Mitchell, SDSM&T professor of art. “Their work is refreshing and gives both a personal and experimental view of the Black Hills and beyond,” say Mitchell.

The Apex Gallery, in Classroom Building 211, is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Admission to the reception and to the gallery is free and open to the public.
