Even the best images benefit from fine-tuning in Photoshop. Learn to optimize yours in this two-day workshop.

On Friday, refine your photographs by changing exposure, contrast, color and sharpness in specific parts of your image. Make skies more dramatic, foregrounds brighter, and reds redder. Learn about selecting different areas of your photo using the most efficient tools and commands; modifying and saving what you have selected; protecting parts of your picture using masks; and visually blending a selected area into the rest of the photo.

On Saturday, you'll rescue photos you thought were destined for the trash. Learn to straighten tilting pictures, balance uneven exposures, and clear up colorcasts created by using the wrong white balance. Make your friends and family look good with simple portrait retouching techniques for enhancing eyes, teeth and skin. Get rid of sensor dust, telephone wires, litter and other unwanted objects in your images. Finish up your work with advanced sharpening techniques. Learn about the tools and commands used to correct exposure and color, to blur or sharpen specific areas, and to clean up debris. You will be able to duplicate the techniques later, thanks to Eyster’s detailed book that is custom written for this class.

Graduates of this workshop have said it's well worth the investment in studying with Eyster, even for photographers who think they already know their way around Photoshop. Eyster gives clear step-by-step guidance through the creative process from visualizing to realizing a successful digital image. Join in for two productive days of small group, hands-on learning. Friday, November 20 from 12 to 7 PM and Saturday, November 21,from 9 AM to 3 PM. Enrollment is $299.99 and pre-registration is required.
