Photography is the art of painting with light. Explore how these visual concepts can improve every aspect of your digital work flow, from capturing a digital image, to organizing your photos, navigating Adobe Photoshop CS-4 and making prints. This two day workshop develops your ability to see and work with light, shadow, shape and color in your own images.

A writer, photographer, and Photoshop specialist from Missoula, instructor Kathy Eyster studied Adobe Photoshop with internationally known masters like George DeWolfe, John Paul Caponigro, Katrin Eismann and Julieanne Kost. For the past eight years, she has been teaching and assisting in both local and national programs, including serving as a teaching assistant for the Photoshop gurus she has studied with.

In this workshop, Eyster demonstrates the importance of proper exposure, and reviews basic Photoshop CS-4 operation. Learn about layers, palettes, color correction, and non-destructive editing techniques. Discover the how, why and when of sharpening, appropriate file size and resolution choices for the final form of your picture. Adobe Bridge and Adobe Camera RAW will also be covered. You will be able to duplicate the techniques later, thanks to Eyster's detailed book that is custom-written for this workshop.
