Piedmont Jazz Alliance 2nd Anniversary Celebration with The Steve Hobbs Quartet February 26, 2011

Piedmont Jazz Alliance celebrates its 2nd Anniversary with an evening of exceptional jazz featuring the Steve Hobbs Quartet.

Nationally known vibists Steve Hobbs has recorded, performed, and toured extensively with such musical talents as Kenny Barron, Tito Puente, Tom Harrell, and Bill O'Connell. Steve has recorded 6 top ten recordings for which he received several awards and the title "One of the 10 best Jazz Vibists in the world" by BMG All Music Guide to Jazz. His current recording "Vibes, Straight Up," stayed at #1 on the Jazz Week Jazz Chart for five weeks, and in the top ten for over ten weeks.

Steve Hobbs and his quartet will perform music from his current chart-topping recording, well known standards and other original tunes that will surely delight.
