Plumber's Lobby Day May 18, 2008

We have arranged a State Association Lobby Day for May 20, 2008. Again this year, we are inviting Local Association Presidents and Executive Directors to attend. We will arrive in Albany in the late afternoon on Monday, May 19 and have dinner with Bob Ungar, our lobbyist around 7:00 PM. Bob will go over the issues and who we are meeting with. On Tuesday morning we head to the Capitol where we have prearranged appointments with Assembly and Senate Members. Depending on the turnout, we will probably be in two groups. We spend the day at these appointments and leave around 4pm. Some of the issues we discuss are:

- Wicks Law
- prevailing wage
- insurance reform, including Labor Law 240-241
- Copper Legislation
