Portage Countryside Historical Festival June 19, 2009

Free stage entertainment. Penny carnival for children, hay rides, rides on antique firetruck, pie eating contest, watermelon eating contest, pie and cookie baking contest. Reenactors include French and Indian will be camping out all weekend. Very educational. Historical Museum on site will have Early American Indian Wanamaker Collection from Indiana University.K of C will sell all types of food, there will be multiple venders on site. Abe Lincoln will be there to conduct a spelling bee and we will suprise him with a cake for his 200 birthday! 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
