Native prairies once covered more than a third of the state of Minnesota. Now less than 1% of that land is covered by native prairies. Join Dodge Nature Center staff as we explore the ecology, natural history, and restoration of tall grass prairie. We'll identify some of the most common prairie plants, handle equipment used to restore and maintain our prairies, and gain a greater understanding of one of Minnesota's most endangered landscapes.
