To raise funds, the South Florida Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation presents a special sneak-peek advance screening of Sipping Jetstreams, the new movie by renowned surf filmmaker Taylor Steele.
What is the Surfrider Foundation?
The Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots, non-profit environmental organization that works to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. In 2006, the South Florida Chapter:
• Won battles to protect the public’s right to beach access in Dade County
• Implemented water quality testing at the Key Biscayne Nature Center and helped with mangrove restoration in the county
• Developed educational programs that teach schoolchildren the importance of Florida's unique watershed
• Helped launch a Broward County chapter
What is Sipping Jetstreams?
Taylor Steele's romantic surf novel was filmed during a two-year odyssey throughout the world’s most untouched destinations with today's best surfers. The film documents uncharted routes from Egypt to Greece, Italy to the Caribbean, Cuba to Japan -- all the while capturing the happenings and personalities of surfing's most sought-after athletes in ways never seen before. Featured pro surfers include Kelly Slater, Bruce and Andy Irons, Tim Curran, Shane Dorian, Dan Malloy, and Kalani Robb.

This seems to be a non-existant show. North Six's web page says the bands on this date are Deerhoof and Flying. TV on The Radio's own web page of US tour dates mentions nothing of it, nor does The Roots.
I'm still going for Deerhoof though. They are very good.
