Primordial Soup to Perform Soundtrack to the The Secret of NIMH March 16, 2006

Local improvisational rockers, Primordial Soup, will perform an improvised soundtrack to ?The Secret of NIMH,? on Thursday, March 16, at 9 p.m. at Barley's Tap Room, located at 200 East Jackson Avenue in the Old City.

The 1982 animated film is the story of a field rat's journey to save her ill son by seeking the aid of a colony of super intelligent rats. Primordial Soup consists of musicians from the jazz and rock community who believe that given the right ingredients, music will evolve before your ears. One environment the group has thrived in is in front of the big screen. The group selects movies to draw inspiration from, and plays music that reacts to the films.
