Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore, is organizing Two Day Training Program on Statistical Techniques for Software Metrics Analysis.
Date: 3 – 4 August 2007.
Venue: Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore.
Course Fee: INR 8,000/ per participant or US$ 250 for overseas participant (inclusive of course material, kit, lunch & snacks).
Program Objective: This program is designed to develop the
statistical skills required for metrics data analysis among Project
Managers, SQA / SEPG teams. This course will also minimize the
dependency on commercially available statistical software for data
analysis
Program Benefits: The participants will acquire the knowledge
required to set limits and targets (process capability baselining)
which will not be too wide and at the same time statistically valid,
to estimate the chance of meeting a specified deadline or the risk
involved in a decision taken and to validate the findings (process
improvement, areas of concern, etc) with scientific data analysis.
Deliverables:
1. Development of skill set required for metrics data analysis
and extraction of information from data.
2. Hands on experience on usage of built in MS Excel functions
for Correlation, Regression & Analysis of Variance and their
applications in Software Metrics Analysis.
3. Free tools (MS Excel Macros) for advanced statistical
analysis like Test of Hypothesis and Normality Testing.
