Prokash Karamkar: Solo Show March 5, 2010

Prokash Karamkar (b. 1933 Calcutta) paints and draws surreal images of broken human figure, animals, and fantastical landscapes. His work exudes social commentary and human struggle. Karamkar was one of the artists of protest in the '60s who defined modern Indian art as we know it today.
