Written by James B Murphy II, 'Promise' is a dramatic adaptation of the Celtic allegory 'The Voyage of Bran.' The story centers around Randy and Sledge, two dispirited seafarers who hang out at the local bar. They meet Promise, a mysterious visitor who tells an ancient Celtic story about a group of men who sail to a far off Utopia. As the characters confront their own demons, Promise's tale begins to seem strangely prophetic.
