Quarter Auction February 8, 2008

Quarter Auction - February 8th - $20/ticket in advance, $25 at the door. Cost includes one roll of quarters and one bidding paddle.

Doors will open at 6 pm; the auction starts at 6:45 pm. There will be beer, wine, and setups for purchase.

Don't know what a quarter auction is? Let me explain...
You bring at least one roll of quarters and you get a bidding paddle. The items are shown for the auction and the number of quarters needed to bid on the item is announced. Once you put the appropriate number of quarters in the bucket, you are permitted to hold up your paddle. If you have more than one paddle, you submit the appropriate number of quarters for each paddle. So, if you have two paddles and you want more chances to win an item with a one quarter bid, you would put two quarters into the bucket and hold up both paddles. Then they draw a number and if the number called matches your paddle, you win the item.

The quarters all correspond to a value range. For this auction, $20 - $25 = 1 quarter bid, $26 - $50 = 2 quarter bid, $51 - $75 = 3 quarter bid, and $76 and up = 4 quarter bid. The max you would bid for any one item would be 4 quarters per paddle.
