Although wall drawings represent the foundation of his practice, Sol LeWitt's works on paper, sculptures, artist's books, and writings on Conceptual art were equally important to his oeuvre. This exhibition in the Clifton Hall Link complements the forthcoming installation of the artist's graphite wall drawing on the museum's staircase. Consisting of a range of works on paper and books by the artist in the Gallery's Permanent Collection, as well as ephemera and other materials, it will provide additional context for the wall drawing and reflects the museum's longstanding interest in collecting works in depth by this seminal artist.

Note: Since the event is "after hours" at the research centre, the doors will be locked. We should have someone at the door to let you in, failing that the security guard will be on duty for us. Just hit the buzzer and he'll come around and let you in.
