Evangeline Natachu, RS is a Fitness Tech with Northern Navajo Medical Center/Diabetes Education & Counseling Center (DECC). Vangie is a fitness instructor with years of experience working with people of all ages on fitness/exercise. She will share cardio chair exercises, demonstration with balloons, clothespins, canned food, water bottles, milk containers and other household items to do resistance/strength training. Come and let's make fitness fun! JoAnn Lameman, RD is a Navajo registered dietitian at the Northern Navajo Medical Center. She provides medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling to patients at DECC. She is an instructor for the diabetes, cholesterol and weight-loss classes (Native Lifestyle Balance) at DECC. Joann will briefly cover topics on healthy eating & food safety during the holidays. Leah will assist JoAnn with hands-on holiday recipes since Thanksgiving is almost upon us. Leah H. Shendo is a Home Economist with New Mexico State University’s Tribal Extension Program located in Shiprock, NM. She provides education on money, time, child rearing, nutrition and health, seeing as families today are faced with choices in these areas. Come join us!
