Re:thread - Fashion Showcase (Mayworks) May 7, 2006

Do we dare to challenge the notion that fashion is an elite world of brand name designers and their cat-walkers, which dictate how everyone else should dress? Yes! We will 'rethread' those ideas with this event that showcases only the works of non-professional designers, including all garment industry workers and students of fashion design displaying their talent and sewing skills! Presented by The Homeworkers' Association in collaboration with the Monkey King Collective ( a youth branch of Chinese Canadian National Council Toronto Chapter).

Cost: $5 - $10 sliding scale
