Richard Pousette-Dart: East River Studio November 16, 2011

Pousette-Dart (1916-1992) was the youngest member of the Abstract Expressionist movement. 'East River Studio' will focus on a body of work the artist produced from 1946-51 while living and working in a former brewery on East. 56th St. Art historian David Anfam has described the palette of these works as "monochromatic chiaroscuro, modulated to more apocalyptic hues."
