The Tamarisk Coalition, in partnership with NRCS, the Upper Colorado Environments Plant Center, the Los Lunas Plant Material Center, & Mesa County, Cordially invites you to our Riparian Restoration Training to be held on Nov. 30 and Dec 1, 2010. The same training will take place each day. RSVP required. Please RSVP to Shannon at shatch@tamariskcoalition.org or call 970 256-7400. Training participants will learn how to restore riparian habitat using native plants. Focus will be on how to plant cottonwood and willow pole cuttings and longstem products. Longstem planting techniques establish transplants in direct contact with the capillary fringe of the water table, greatly increasing plant survivability without subsequent irrigation.
