Rock ’n’ Reel at City Tap for Youth Filmmaking - Tuesday Sept. 15, 5:30-8:30 pm, The City Tap pub in Pittsboro. Boogie to the Howie DeWitt band and help raise funds for the Youth Documentary Project. Tickets are $15 in advance (at ChathamArts Gallery in Pittsboro or online) or $18 at the door, and include sandwich, chips, beer and the opportunity to bid on local arts treasures and gift certificates.

ChathamArts and Pittsboro documentary filmmaker Linda Booker have been raising funds to support workshops and classes for youth interested in documentary filmmaking. Proceeds from Rock ’n’ Reel will support the initiative.

Howie Dewitt specializes in “neo-soul, funk and rhythm & blues”, music that you just have to dance to. The band features Ben Hite (keyboards and vocals), David Thornton (bass) and Russell Harper (drums).
