This year Rock the Vote is forging the largest youth voter registration campaign in history and has reached this historic milestone with more than 2.3 million individuals registering to vote through www.rockthevote.com. Rock the Vote’s Road Trip is a state-of-the-art mobile road show designed to reach out to the nation’s youth that will traverse key states and fully maximize voter turnout, education and engagement efforts by staging high profile events featuring musical talent and speakers.
Rock the Vote’s Road Trip tour bus is outfitted with computer kiosks that assist in fielding requests for absentee ballots, educating users about key issues and the election process, providing polling locations, shuttling to early voting locations and much more.
Murs will be making appearances along the Road Trip in Omaha, Des Moines, and Anne Arbor. He is passionate about voting and has been speaking to young adults all over the country along his "Murs For President" campaign promoting his album. Entertainment Weekly just said Murs was, “one of rap's most memorable lyricists.” Check out Murs' new music and his Rock the Vote PSA here: http://www.rockthevote.com/music/featured-artist/murs.html.
