'Roman Art from the Louvre' features approximately 180 prime examples of Roman art drawn from the Musee de Louvre's unsurpassed collection. The exhibition examines aspects of Roman art between the first century BC and the early fourth century AD in artistic, historical and socio-cultural contexts. It highlights contrasts and underscore continuities that characterize these artistic manifestations of Roman public and private life.
