Carter has been a world-class bassist since the '60s and is considered among the greatest accompanists of all times. Equally impressive using his fingers or the bow, he is noted for his melodic, rhythmic and elegant playing. His Trio is rounded out by guitarist Russell Malone and pianist Mulgrew Miller.
